Dance pad isn’t detected on Windows device

A short list of hints which can help to troubleshoot the issue with detection of dance pad.

Here’s what this article covers:

Verify if the cable is placed correctly

By far the most common issue is that the cable isn't pluged with the dance mat properly. Try to insert the cable into the dance mat once again. Please make sure that the slanted part of the plug is upwards - in the same position as in the picture.

When connecting the cable to the dance mat you should feel click under your fingers. If you do, the plug is placed properly in the socket.

Other options

Try another USB port
If you use a desktop PC, try to use the ports located in the back of the case.

Try another USB cable
Your printer might use the same type of USB cable. If you do not have one, check the next option.

Try the dance mat on another PC
Check if another PC will detect the dance mat. If the mat is visible on a different PC, then most likely reason is that the other PC is not providing enough power to the USB slot. Try disabling any power-saving options in the system that can turn USB slots off to save power. You may also try to purchase an active USB hub to provide more power to the dance mat.
